Abstract

This research aims to describe the improvement of the fifth grade students’ natural science learning outcome by using the demonstration method at SDN 23 Ranah . The type of the research was class action research with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research was done two cycles. From the research finding, it is found that the students’ learning outcome is above the standard of minimum completeness of mastery learning which is 75. The score of the lesson  plan increased from 71.5% in cycle I to 92.5% in cycle II. The score of the teacher aspect improved from 74% in cycle I to 94% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the score of students’ aspect enhancefrom 72.0% in cycle I to 91% in cycle II. Finally, the score of the students’ learning outcome increased from 72.0 in cycle I to 83.4 in cycle II. It means the demonstration method improves the students’ natural science learning outcome.
